Hold At All Costs: The Korean War Battle of Outpost Harry, June 26, 2010-2011, Veterans Museum & Memorial Center
The defense of "Outpost Harry" entailed a horrendous battle over a nine-day period as Chinese People's Volunteers fought Greek. South Korean and American troops for position and prestige just weeks in advance of the armistice that effectively ended the Korean War. Accurate reconstructions of the UN and Chinese Bunkers will be on display, accompanied by authentic artifacts and memorabilia gathered from veterans on both sides of the conflict. -

For 99% of human history, we lived as hunter-gatherers. This exhibit explores the hunter-gatherers who lived in the San Diego Region for over 10,000 years in the context of world history. In an age of increasing emphasis on diversity, it is important to remember that our biological and cultural make-up remain rooted in this shared hunting and gathering lifestyle.
