- For the Film Buff: "Ramona" screening at Save our Heritage Organisation's Adobe Chapel
This Saturday, February 16, Save our Heritage Organization is presenting the silent, black and white film "Ramona," at their Adobe Chapel in Old Town. At each of the two screenings, a short presentation will be given about the history of the Adobe Chapel followed by a 20-minute clip of the film. Tickets are $5.
- For the Photo Enthusiast: "On the Trail of Ansel Adams" at the San Diego Museum of Natural History
Head to the San Diego Museum of Natural History to see their new exhibit "On the Trail of Ansel Adams." This exhibit features photographs inspired by the work of this legendary photographer.
- For the Military Historian: Kiss Statue and USS Midway Museum
"Unconditional Surrender," a new bronze statue based on the famous photograph of a sailor kissing a nurse in Times Square at the end of World War II will be unveiled this Saturday, February 16 at 10:00am. Nicknamed "The Kiss", the statue is finally back in San Diego after the old statue (on long-term loan) was returned to New Jersey for restoration. From there, head to the USS Midway Museum to see over 60 exhibits and 27 restored aircraft. (P.S. Bring a donation for San Diego Food Bank on Saturday and receive a free ticket to the museum while supplies last.)

The Water Conservation Garden in El Cajon is a lovely place for brunch. Pack a romantic picnic and head outside!
- The Love Boat: Embark on an Adventure Sail from the Maritime Museum of San Diego
